Being Better for You

A lot happens behind the scenes here at PureFUN! so we wanted to take a minute to share a few
initiatives we have in place. From the warehouse to sales team, our objective is to serve you!

Driver training – We have implemented a driver training program that will empower
the team to problem solve on-site! By the way, check out the new uniforms!

Warehouse – Pick rates are up and errors are down! The new scanner system we
implemented in July has really paid off.

Technology – We constantly evaluate technology to choose the best solutions to
support you. From ACT! To MAS2000, we use state of the art programs!

PureFUN! Team is leaving for Cairo!

Love. Hope. Renewal.

Todd, Carol, Mo, Jaceson, Eric, Leo and Monica
are preparing for their trip to Egypt in October.
The purpose of their trip is to start a computer
learning center for the kids, help widows with
small business ideas to better support their
families and to love on the kids and the staff.

Finally an update!

I decided I should update before I hit the one month mark of no new posts!

So many new and exciting things are going on here at PureFUN! that are keeping all of us busy.

From team expansions, warehouse technology and equipment upgrades, new driver uniforms all the way to powering enrichment programs....we are busy and excited!

The most thrilling event coming up involves PureFUN! Juice. It is so impressive I cannot even speak of it yet. I cannot wait until the "upgrade" is introduced to our customers!

Per Todd's most recent blog "Try Something New" (view Todd's blog here):
Try enrichment programs to re energize your school. Do not just try any enrichment program...try The FunPack! The leader in enrichment activities for kids. Visit http://www.thefunpack.com/ or thefunpackatlanta.blogspot.com for more info.

Phone Tips

The employee answering your telephone is the "Manager of First Impressions" for your daycare or company.

Here are some tips to enhance the caller's phone experience:

  1. Put a smile on your face first. It will enhance your vocal quality and make you sound more pleasant and relaxed
  2. Listen attentively to the person you are speaking with. Multi tasking is the enemy of effective listening
  3. Let other people talk! Make sure the caller has completely finished talking before responding.
  4. Use open ended questions to get people to speak more freely. It typically makes people feel more comfortably, especially if they are asked to make a decision.
  5. Match the speed of your speaking voice with theirs.
  6. Phrasing your words positively, rather than negatively or neutrally, will help you get better results more easily.

Staff Profile: Kaylee Sears

This is Mr. and Mrs. Keith Davis on their wedding day, May 30th. I was priveledged enough to be a part of the splendid event! Kaylee was so angelic!

The newly Mrs. Kaylee Sears Davis has been a proud member of the PureFUN! staff for six years now. She has seen where the company started, where it is now and the many places it is going. Now only has she watched it grow, she has always been a key contributor. She has put many of her efforts into the business and therefore has a fondness for the company and all the customers!

Outside of being a loyal employee... Kaylee has, in my opinion, the most beautiful voice of all. If you ever need an event singer you should give her a call!

Kaylee is also my first cousin! I love and admire her so! And not just because she is my cousin!

Kaylee is now coaching Hi-Yah! for The FunPack! If you are a school in the local Atlanta area...keep an eye out for her!

Free Chicken!

Our local Chick-Fil-A offers free chicken to customers who sport their best cow costumes into the restaurant during lunch time on certain days.

Mitch, Eric and Josh, three of our hard-working warehouse guys, decided they had a cravin' for some good chicken today!

Here is Mitch after getting creative with some leftover juice boxes!

Thank you Chick-fil-A for restoring our guys so they can serve PureFUN! customers to be best of their ability!

Todd Helping Feed Kids!

Here is Todd with Connie, Heather, Carea and Joy. They run EZ Pick up in Griffin, Georgia.
EZ Pickup provides meals to 2800 children who would normally get free lunch at school. But during the summer they go without - without the help of folks like EZ Pick Up.

Recharge!

M&M's are our fuel for the day! They keep us peppy and going strong so we can get juice to our customers effectively and efficiently!
Looks like we need to refuel the candy jar!
...what is up with that misformed m&m in the middle...

Staff Profile: Brenna Clarey

Local PureFUN! customers probably know Brenna as the sweet and delicate voice behind the phone taking their orders. Not only is Brenna dependable with handling customers, she is also the artist behind most of the PureFUN! marketing pieces. As the marketing coordinator, I get to work close with Brenna…and she is, to say at the least, amazing! The pieces Brenna designs for PureFUN! always surprise me with their elegance. They are always simple, but not too simple, and very effective. Brenna translates her gracefulness into her visual work.

Brenna loves creating things and is going to school to be a kindergarten teacher.

Pictured above is her beautiful family! Chris and Mia! Can I just say that Mia is the cutest girl ever? Cause she is.

Staff Profile: Michael Jones

Pictured above is the PureFUN! Warehouse Operations Manager, Michael Jones. Michael has been a loyal employee for four great years now. His devotion to PureFUN! is admirable. We do not have to worry about our days being too mundane when Michael is around, he brings personality to the office! The picture you see was taken on the day he proposed to his new wife, Brittany. She has the sweetest smile I have ever seen! They make a wonderful couple. Can't wait for the day there are lil' Mike and Britts runnin' 'round!

Recycle!

Use junk mail, junk faxes or any other paper that you would otherwise throw away as scrap paper!

PureFUN! is an active player in the game of "using paper that would be thrown away as scrap paper."  In fact, many of the national ladies cannot survive without it!

It contributes in saving beautiful trees and saves Todd on buying paper or notebooks for us!

Yay for scrap paper!

Reduce!

When buying anything from lightbulbs, heating and cooling systems, home appliances, and even computers look for the Energy Star icon.

Energy Star products use 20 to 40% less energy than the standard.

Reuse!

Instead of replacing the trash bags in your center or house each time you take out the trash...try keeping the same bag in your smaller trash cans for extended periods of time. Dump the trash into a larger bag when it is trash day.

Keep a designated trash can for food and drinks...things that would cause the need for a bag to be thrown away.

This will save money, carbon that is emitted when the trash bags are manufactured, and will help with the issue of recycling plastic. Maybe it would even save a little time too!

Why not?

Staff Profile: Amy Bowman

Amy has been with PureFUN! as the National Sales Supervisor for almost three years now. Lucky for me my desk is right next to her office! Almost every morning she comes in and has a new fun story to tell about one of her family members. Her daughter Hannah, who is five years old, is so cute! She has the funnest personality. Amy always has some crazy story to tell about her pets (an African Grey Parrot and 3 dogs), her fun-loving daughter, her teenage son (Dallas), and her sweet husband. They make such a great family! I have babysat for her a couple times and know from experience. Amy is such a great addition to the PureFUN! team. She is laid back, smart, and has a great sense of humor; I love her laugh. And beautiful curly hair!
