Staff Profile: Michael Jones

Pictured above is the PureFUN! Warehouse Operations Manager, Michael Jones. Michael has been a loyal employee for four great years now. His devotion to PureFUN! is admirable. We do not have to worry about our days being too mundane when Michael is around, he brings personality to the office! The picture you see was taken on the day he proposed to his new wife, Brittany. She has the sweetest smile I have ever seen! They make a wonderful couple. Can't wait for the day there are lil' Mike and Britts runnin' 'round!

Recycle!

Use junk mail, junk faxes or any other paper that you would otherwise throw away as scrap paper!

PureFUN! is an active player in the game of "using paper that would be thrown away as scrap paper."  In fact, many of the national ladies cannot survive without it!

It contributes in saving beautiful trees and saves Todd on buying paper or notebooks for us!

Yay for scrap paper!

Lunch N Learn

Every month Todd treats the whole company to lunch at our monthly "Lunch N Learn." At the Lunch N Learn we get to sit down together and connect as a team. Todd shares all of the important updates going on in the company.

Today is our annual April PureFUN! Lunch N Learn. I am excited, I love getting time with the whole company!

Reduce!

When buying anything from lightbulbs, heating and cooling systems, home appliances, and even computers look for the Energy Star icon.

Energy Star products use 20 to 40% less energy than the standard.

Reuse!

Instead of replacing the trash bags in your center or house each time you take out the trash...try keeping the same bag in your smaller trash cans for extended periods of time. Dump the trash into a larger bag when it is trash day.

Keep a designated trash can for food and drinks...things that would cause the need for a bag to be thrown away.

This will save money, carbon that is emitted when the trash bags are manufactured, and will help with the issue of recycling plastic. Maybe it would even save a little time too!

Why not?

Staff Profile: Amy Bowman

Amy has been with PureFUN! as the National Sales Supervisor for almost three years now. Lucky for me my desk is right next to her office! Almost every morning she comes in and has a new fun story to tell about one of her family members. Her daughter Hannah, who is five years old, is so cute! She has the funnest personality. Amy always has some crazy story to tell about her pets (an African Grey Parrot and 3 dogs), her fun-loving daughter, her teenage son (Dallas), and her sweet husband. They make such a great family! I have babysat for her a couple times and know from experience. Amy is such a great addition to the PureFUN! team. She is laid back, smart, and has a great sense of humor; I love her laugh. And beautiful curly hair!

Staff Profile: Wendy Wellborn

Pictured above is Wendy Wellborn posing next to the beautiful thanksgiving display she arranged for our PureFUN! Thanksgiving meal. She looks so cute in this picture because you can tell she is giggling! Wendy always contributes to our get-togethers with her gifted eye for decorating.

Wendy is a true Southern Belle. When I think of a Southern Belle I think of someone who is classy, refined, charming and so so sweet. Wendy has all of these qualities along with many others...especially beauty! I cannot forget her perfect Southern Belle accent either.

Wendy loves her family! She refers to her husband of 20 years as "the man of her dreams." Wendy has a beautiful daughter named Grace. With such a good influence from Wendy, I am sure Grace will grow up to be just as sweet as her. Actually, I bet she already is!

Wendy loves walking on the beach, the Georgia Bulldogs and some good southern blues.

Brenna and her boyfriend

Here is Brenna and her boyfriend, Wile, at the office.
Now that is a true look of admiration.

...I do not know about you, but I think I am going to have to talk to Todd about relationships and PDA in the workplace.

Red Team!

It has been way too long since I have updated so here is a quick one! This is me and Kaylee at one of our PureFUN! employee outings. Todd and Ms. Carol always organize the funnest events for PureFUN! employee bonding. This was PureFUN! Bowling...we were on the red team. The red team totally got jipped out of winning. I know this because the red team is the best, but the red team still lost....meaning something had to have gone wrong. The best always wins. Kaylee is also a PureFUN! employee. She is my cousin! I love her more than anything!

...notice Ryan, our most favorite truck driver (shhh), doing the bunny ears. He must have been on the blue team. Booo.

This post is a reminder to all that Red Team will have its revenge.

....stay tuned for the next Staff Profile

Testimonial

"Wendy,
Thank you for your help! I am very impressed with this company and the quick response to my questions always. Not only did you answer my initial question - you went the extra mile above and beyond what was asked and you met our need.
We will continue to use your company!
Thanks again,
Trish, AL"

Trish contacted Wendy to order some multi fold towel dispensers. She told Wendy they needed to replace their dispensers because they had lost the keys to them. Wendy did some research and found a website that could provide lost keys for various types of dispensers. As you can see Trish was very appreciative.

Wendy is awesome! A true southern belle and one-of-a-kind Customer Specialist!

Toys for inspiration

In the upper level of the PureFUN! Inc. building you can find THOUSANDS of toys.

It is rather exciting...

PureFUN! contributes to Toys for Tots by storing the toys that came in too late for the previous holiday season so they can be given out during the next. There are huge boxes of toys all over the place! ...some really nice bikes too. To me, nothing is more exhilarating than a brisk and refreshing bike ride. Riding down a big hill with the wind all in your face, hair and eyes is the epitome of freedom and youth. ...even if the every-once-in-a-while bug happens to hit you in the face.

Seeing all of the totally radical bicycles just waiting to be given to little ones makes me giddy.

There are 50 pallets of toys up there, which is about 50,000 toys.

PureFUN! loves kids. Todd, the owner of PureFUN!, does all he can do to help kids in everyway...storing toys here is a simple example of that.

It is inspiring.

Staff Profile: Jerry Weiden

If you are lucky enough to own a house of your own, do you remember how exciting it was to buy your first brand new home? One that you could actually call your own? Well, above is a picture of PureFUN! employee Jerry Weiden’s very first home! It is beautiful isn’t it? If anyone deserves it, it is Jerry. Jerry Weiden has been the ever so loyal I.T. manager for PureFUN! for six years now. Jerry is one of the most unique and kind people that I have ever met. I think that I know Jerry well enough to say that his main ambition is to help people out. Even if it is something simple to help them have a better day, like bringing two orange starbursts to their desk because that is their favorite flavor (which he happened to do to me today). I am sure you are thinking that everyone wants to help people out, but Jerry is different than your average wanna-help-out person. He takes it to a new level. Jerry is very smart and knows how things work. He could probably fix any machine problem we could ever have at PureFUN! He uses his handy man skills to help the people around him. I need Jerry’s help all the time! I am sure that everyone in the building could make that statement too. Jerry always helps with joy. You can tell that he is not helping you because you need him to…he is helping you because he wants to. He would have done it without even being asked! Todd, the owner of our business, and all of us agree that Jerry is irreplaceable.

The heavenly blueberry muffins and brownies that his mom bakes for all of us to enjoy are a plus too!

This is Jerry and his dad. Jerry’s dad is an expert Porsche mechanic. This must be where Jerry got his exquisite ability of working with his hands.

We love Jerry, he makes PureFUN! way BETTER for everyone!

More Plates Please!

So Jeff Thomas, our amazing Purchasing Manager, has an office that is right across from my desk with a big window. Imagine three business men dressed in really nice business man clothes...with their serious and stern "down to business" faces and voices on...sitting around a desk...bending and playing with all of these little foam plates with their big man hands trying to figure out which one is the best. If I did not do too good of a job describing it, just know, it is a very funny sight. Three business men sitting around talking about the logistics of foam plates is just funny. I keep on hearing murmurs of things like "weight of mashes potatoes" and "weight of sandwiches."

Jeff is doing all he can do to make sure we are selling the best quality plates we can get to our customers!

Aren't they cute?

Eric Barnes and Josh Fowler, two of our warehouse workers, brave the 20 degree weather today.

Despite this frightful weather they are getting your products to you with a smile on their face and a jump in their step!

They warm up the warehouse with the love in their hearts!

aw.

New Flavor!

You guys have not tried anything until you have tried our new White Cranberry Peach juice. It is part of our stain-fighter flavors. You cannot go wrong with anything having to do with peaches coming straight from Georgia!

I was born and raised in Georgia and am proud to call myself a Georgia Peach!

Staff Profile: Jan Sears

Above is a picture of our one of a kind employee Jan Sears with her loving husband Kent. Jan is our National Accounts and Team Manager. She keeps us on pace and productive...we could not survive without her organization and warm spirit. She is the most uplifting person that I have ever met. Since I am only 20 and I am sure that I have many more people to meet, let me just clarify my previous statement by saying, I do not think I will ever meet anyone as uplifting and inspirational as Jan Sears is. On top of all that, she is my Aunt! Jan and my mom are sisters making us blood related. I am so blessed to have someone as loving and full of faith as Jan so close to me! It is a privlege to call her "Aunt Jan." Aunt Jan's favorite flower is a daisy, which perfectly portrays her...down to earth, sweet and humble.

This is a picture of her six beautiful children in Montana this past summer. I am so thankful to have them part of my family as well. The Sears kids range from age 11 to 23. Each of them are unique and loving in their own way. How could they not be with such a wonderful mother?! Kaylee, Aunt Jan's daughter (third girl from the right), is also a PureFUN! Emplyee. She is getting married in May! I am an only child and they are more like my brothers and sisters than cousins to me. I love going over to their house because there is always something exciting going on! They also have a reptile hobby. Yes, you read that right...a reptile hobby. They have multiple snakes and lizards as pets in their house. Not only do they have reptiles, they also have atleast 10 pet tarantulas! Now that is what I call a one of a kind family.
